Three generations of Wedgewood family hospitality, since 1978.
A family-run Midwestern supper club, hand-cut steaks, and the Old Fashioned that put us on the map — served with live jazz six nights a week.
A supper club opened in 1978 by the Wedgewood family — and never sold, never franchised, never closed.
My grandparents opened this room in the autumn of 1978 with a single conviction: that a supper club should be the kind of place a family returns to, week after week, for forty years and counting. There were twelve tables that first night. There are still twelve tables in the original dining room.
We dry-age every ribeye, every New York strip, and every porterhouse for a minimum of twenty-eight days in our own on-site aging room — the only supper club in the region with a dedicated dry-aging program. The Caesar is still tossed to order at the table. The Bananas Foster is still flamed on the cart. The twice-baked potato is still finished on a silver service. These are not gestures; they are the work.
Three generations later, nothing essential has changed. The family still owns the building, still owns the recipes, still trains the staff, and still walks the floor most evenings. We have never sold, never franchised, and never closed.

We celebrated our engagement here in 1986. We brought our daughters here the year they were born. Last spring, we brought our granddaughter for her first Old Fashioned — which she mostly wore, and which the staff laughed about for the rest of the night. Some things, you just want to pass down.
Four moments that put Wedgewood on the map.
We have never advertised for press. The following notes are the work, noticed by the people who keep the national record of places like ours.

The Private Dining Program Begins
We opened our first dedicated private dining room in 1985 to host a rehearsal dinner for a regular's daughter. Forty years later, we have hosted more than 1,400 private events — anniversaries, retirement parties, rehearsal dinners, and corporate celebrations — and the room is still booked most weekends of the year.

The Old Fashioned, Recognized at the State Level
The State Restaurant Association named our 1978 house Old Fashioned — Bulleit bourbon, house-made brandied cherry, a single sugar cube — the "Best Old Fashioned in the State" in 2021. The recipe has not been altered since opening night.
